PROCESS FLOW:
Benzoic acid is prepared by oxidation of toluene with an oxygen containing gas.
Put toluene and Cobalt naphtenate of measured scale into oxygenation tower, rise the temperature to 140°C. Three hours later, keep 165°C-180°C, 0.6-0.70Mpa, react for 18-22 hours. When the percent conversion reach 65-75%, suppress into distillation still, boil up non-reacted toluene, make the assay of benzoic acid reach 89% min.
Put the rough benzoic acid into first and second fractionating tower, control temperature, vacuum, reflux rati, get refined benzoic acid 98.0% min from tower top.
