Application Aluminum DiStearate is recommended for use in all water-base drilling fluids to prevent foaming during mixing or circulating operations. ---An effective defoamer in all water-base drilling fluids. ---Effective at low concentrations and easy to mix. ---Prevents re-foaming. ---Minimal effect on drilling fluid rheology. Treatment Normally 5 to 10 lb (2.3 to 4.5 kg) of Aluminum distearate is mixed with 5 gal (18.9 m3) diesel or mineral oil. The level of treatment of mixture is 1.0 to 2.0 gal/bbl (23.8 to 47.6 liters/m3). Mixture can be added directly to active system. Packaging Aluminum Distearate is supplied in 25 lb (11.34 kg) multiwall paper sack. 18.16 mt per 40’ container shrinked on pallets. |
